After both the Eagles 1st team and reserves lost in midweek games they will be looking to get back to winning ways on Saturday. The 1st make the notoriously difficult trip to Coppull and Simon Whaley’s men will be trying to get some more points on the board after a good start with 6 points from four games, but were undone by Euxton Villa on Tuesday night losing 4-2 after conceding twice just after the start in the second half.
Meanwhile the reserves take on locals Ladybridge in the reserves division 3 of the West Lancs League, and Gary Kay and the boys will be keen to also get 3 points again after a narrow defeat to CMB 3-2 on Monday night. ‘We played well on Monday night against a good CMB side, we had a lot of young lads in the team and they are now starting to gel and believe in themselves. If they continue like that we will do well.’ Said Gary.
