Eagley lost at home to Crookland Casuals, but in a game that didn’t really deserve the scoreline.
Again they allowed their opponents time to play from the off and found themselves 1 down after only a minute. But they then dug in and after some good play Jack Horan equalised. It then seemed Eagley were on top until they allowed Crooklands a free header at the back post which they thankfully took to make it 2.1 at half time.
Then some more poor defending from the Eagles saw 3 more goals from the visitors to end a dismal afternoon. With no first team fixture next week that gives the team two weeks to recover and regroup before taking on high flyers Charnock Richard at home on the 15th November.
Meanwhile the reserves were away at Hurst Green where they also suffered a defeat losing 4 – 1, the goal scorer for Eagley being Derek Wilcox. They do have a game next week though back at home v Euxton Villa.
